BEIA’s Annual Conference has postponed until 2022

On behalf of Business Events Industry Aotearoa and Hawke’s Bay Tourism, it is with great sadness that we announce the postponement of BEIA’s Annual Conference in Hawke’s Bay until 2022.

The risks associated with the current Covid-19 outbreak, as well as the continued lockdowns in Auckland and Waikato, and the uncertainty around travel restrictions has necessitated this difficult decision.

Additionally, it was important to both organisations that we delivered on several key objectives. Firstly, to provide an opportunity for you, our business events community, to come together after what has been a torrid two years. Secondly, to enable Hawke’s Bay Tourism to showcase their wonderful region. And finally, it was to provide thought provoking content, which supported our theme of BEing BOLD, BRAVE & READY.

We would like to say thank you to the Hawke’s Bay business events community for their support and our magnificent partners, Tourism New Zealand, Celebrity Speakers, Team Up, the Events Group, Napier Conferences & Events, Toitoi – Hawke’s Bay Arts and Events Centre, Nimon, our MC David Downs and special guest speaker, Oscar Cerezanles.

All delegates who have registered and paid for the conference will receive a full refund. We will process refunds in the next 2-3 business days, and also suggest any bookings made are cancelled as soon as possible.

Finally, they do say “third time’s a charm”, and we look forward to returning to the Hawke’s Bay region in 2022, for the BEIA Conference and AGM. The teams are working on new dates right now and we look forward to sharing those with you soon.
Thank you once again for your understanding of this most difficult decision, and your continued support of our incredible industry.
